Current project status 22.08.2004
Project hasn't reached anything functional yet, more contributions
are needed in order to make the program useful.
Next is needed:
- CVS server to katix.org
- Web-CVS to katix.org
- Bugzilla(?) to katix.org
- Fixed calculation routines that work with GCC 3.x
- New updated calculation routines that would be more useful
- Research on cross-platform audio libraries
- Research regarding MLS measurement
- GUI redesign is needed including prototype scetching and possibly usability tests
- Requirement specification - how the speaker modelling, crossover design and measurement should work and how should they be joint together
- Architecture design to the program is needed. Modelling format: OpenOffice with component diagrams, component diagrams and sequence diagrams.
- Reasearch on low level ALSA programming
- More research on AES papers and to the waveguide theory by Earl Geddes (Book: Audio transducers)
Because this is a open source project that is solely based on volunteers
interest to the subject, no project schedules will be present so far. The program
will be ready when it is ready.
